Erik ten Hag’s Man Utd XI for first game of season after two more transfers ‘agreed’

There’s now just over a fortnight remaining until Manchester United’s first game of the season against Fulham – and there’s plenty of work left to do.

The Red Devils welcome Marco Silva’s men to Old Trafford on Friday, 16 August. Erik ten Hag will be aiming to lay down a gauntlet after retaining the trust of Sir Jim Ratcliffe

And Man United have already been busy when it comes to the transfer market. Both Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee have been signed in big-money deals and it is unlikely that the lucrative spending ends there.

Ten Hag still wants even more new faces, with a right-back and a midfielder among his targets. Take a look at what XI the Dutchman could choose should he get everything he wants:

here is lonly going to be one man between the sticks for United against Fulham. Andre Onana endured a tricky debut season at Old Trafford after arriving from Inter Milan but he improved as the campaign wore on and he won’t be going anywhere.

There could however be some alterations to the defence in front of him. Reports in Germany suggest that Aaron Wan-Bissaka has agreed upon a move to Premier Leaguerivals West Ham.

The former Crystal Palace man is said to have shaken hands on personal terms with the Hammers, but the clubs now need to agree a deal. And once that deal goes through, Ten Hag is hoping his replacement swiftly arrives.

The Red Devils are understood to be closing in on a move for Bayern Munich star Noussair Mazraoui. He could slot straight into the right-back berth, although he would face competition from Diogo Dalot.
