It has been a mixed pre-season for Manchester United, with some good and some bad – although performance-wise, we have had mostly positive reviews.
Several players have impressed, with others establishing themselves as first-team players while United resemble a far more organised and well-coached team.
Hopes are high with only injuries bringing them down, but a week out from the Community Shield, United have the perfect warm-up game against Liverpool.
Here is how we think Erik ten Hag could line up his team for the game which will kick off at 12:30 am UK time.
How Manchester United could lineup vs Liverpool
With just one week before United head to Wembley for the Community Shield, we would expect this line-up to be closer to that than we saw against Real Betis.
There will be obvious exclusions from those we expect to start next weekend – but for now, we’ve gone with the strongest XI available to Ten Hag.

Andre Onana
While Tom Heaton was given minutes last time out, ultimately he showed he is not in a position to be playing anymore and Andre Onana will therefore be back in here for the final warm-up before the Community Shield.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka
This could be the final time we see Aaron Wan-Bissaka in Manchester United colours, with his move to West Ham moving closer and closer. If he is not playing due to the deal being so close, it could be James Scanlon thrown into the side as he has been the backup right-back on tour.
Victor Lindelof
In the centre of defence, Victor Lindelof likely gets the nod to start in place of the injured Leny Yoro. It is unlikely he will start the Community Shield next weekend with Lisandro Martinez set to return.
Harry Maguire
The second centre-back will likely be Harry Maguire who looks set to play a pivotal role at least early this season, with a second centre-back signing yet to have arrived.
