The report states that the two clubs have ‘held initial talks’ over Sancho making the move to France, with the winger valued at £40m by United. Both Sancho and Ugarte are said to be interested in a move.

Sancho spent the second half of last season on loan at former club Borussia Dortmund after a public falling out with United boss Erik ten Hag, but the pair have now buried the hatchet after holding face-to-face talks and he has featured regularly in pre-season.

“We spoke well,” Ten Hag said of Sancho’s return to the fold. “Anyone can make a mistake. If the player reflects well on that, then you draw a line and move on again. This club needs good players, and one thing is for sure: Jadon is a terribly good player.

“I hope that the click still comes, and that he will contribute to our success.” Sancho has also spoken out about his future, revealing he has enjoyed being back involved with United’s first-team.

When asked if he was happy to be back playing, Sancho told club media: “Definitely, 100 per cent. 100 per cent, yes. It’s been nice, enjoying the weather, back with the lads, it’s been good. I love the facilities in America.

“Obviously when I have time off, I usually come to America. This is actually one of the places I do train before pre-season so it’s nice to be back. I wouldn’t say it’s home but yes, it’s a nice facility.”

United have made two major signings so far this summer, bringing in striker Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna and centre-back Leny Yoro from Lille, while PSG have spent big to sign midfielder Joao Neves from Benfica.
