United hold talks with agents of €35m-rated star before agreeing transfer fee – report

Manchester United have seemingly stepped up efforts to sign Fenerbahçe full-back Ferdi Kadıoğlu.

Kadıoğlu endured a very promising 2023/24 season in Turkey, making 51 appearances in all competitions for Fenerbahçe.

Many expected the versatile full-back, who primarily plays on the left flank, to also enjoy a successful campaign under newly appointed manager, Jose Mourinho.

However, the 24-year-old’s performances for Turkey in this summer’s Euros caught the attention of top European clubs, and this could accelerate his exit from the Istanbul-based outfit.

Kadıoğlu, who made his breakthrough into senior football as number 10 at NEC Nijmegen, has impressed many with his ball control in tight spaces and ability to progress the play from deep as an inverted full-back.

Brighton and Hove Albion appeared to be his most serious suitors, but now a report from journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu suggests United are also prepared to seriously knock on Fenerbahçe’s doors.
