One player that the Red Devils were keen on signing for quite some time now is Manuel Ugarte.
The Uruguayan midfielder is out of favour at PSG with manager Luis Enrique not trusting him and he will want to leave Parc des Princes this summer.
As per Football Insider, Manuel Ugarte is closing in on a move to Man Utd with the club pushing to advance talks with PSG and reach an agreement in the coming days. If signed, he would be the Red Devils’ fifth arrival of the summer.
The 23-year-old is ‘crazy’ to seal the move to Man Utd, as per reliable Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano. Ugarte has been very clear that he wants to move to Old Trafford to continue his career and has been waiting for the two clubs to reach an agreement.
Ugarte is valued at around £45m by PSG and Man Utd have already been big spenders this transfer window. They need to be careful not to breach the PSR guidelines of the Premier League whilst trying to sign the Uruguayan.
It might be too early to say this but based on his last couple of games, Casemiro might still have one good season in him at the top level and bringing in Ugarte now will give the young Uruguayan a chance to learn from the Brazilian legend.
The next few days could be crucial in Man Utd’s pursuit of the talented Ugarte. Fans all around the world hope he’ll join them this summer and let’s hope PSG agree a deal to let the 23-year-old complete his switch to Old Trafford
