Erik ten Hag forced into brutal Marcus Rashford decision after Manchester United point made

Marcus Rashford is the odd one out in the Manchester United frontline after Amad scored his first goal of the season against Brighton and Hove Albion.

Alejandro Garnacho got off the mark in the Community Shield versus Manchester City, while Joshua Zirkzee turned home the winner against Fulham on opening night. Both players were also involved in United’s second disallowed goal on the south coast, with Rashford firing home the first called back for offside. But unlike them and Amad, the former England international has not been able to celebrate since finding the back of the net with a penalty against Real Betis during the club’s pre-season tour. That was his first since the extra-time equaliser against Liverpool in mid-March.

Garnacho scored twice the following month against Chelsea and assisted Harry Maguire‘s equaliser against Sheffield United before finishing the season by opening the scoring in the FA Cup final. Amad did not feature at Wembley but assisted the opener and scored the second in United’s final home match versus Newcastle United.

They took advantage of Rashford being out with an ankle injury. However, he has not done the same despite Garnacho returning to pre-season late after winning the Copa America with Argentina.
