Man United icon urges Marcus Rashford to LEAVE Old Trafford if he has any hopes of saving his career… as he describes the England star’s downfall as ‘sad’

Marcus Rashford has the potential to be one of the best players in the world but he may need to leave Old Trafford to unlock it.

That is the opinion of Manchester United legend Nicky Butt – who played 387 games for the club between 1992 and 2004, winning 15 trophies.

Rashford has scored 131 goals in 306 games for United but he has only netted nine times in his last 50 club outings

The 26-year-old’s dip in form saw him miss out on a place at Euro 2024 and he has also been left out of England’s squad for the upcoming Nations League fixtures against Ireland and Finland.

Butt worked at United in the club’s youth development set-up between 2012 and 2021, during which time he spent a lot of time with Rashford.
