Ten Hag’s replacement as United manager already chosen by Ineos, decision will divide fans – report

Manchester United were comfortably beaten by arch-rivals Liverpool this weekend, leaving Erik ten Hag under pressure at Old Trafford.

The embarrassing defeat has set the rumour mill off-and-running as to who might replace the Dutchman if INEOS decide to pull the trigger.

The Mirror report United have decided who is ‘next in line’ for the job should performances and results not significantly improve.

Former Chelsea and Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel appears to be the first choice for the new minority owners and back-to-back defeats for Ten Hag have heightened the chances of a change in the dugout.

Tuchel was spoken to by United chiefs in the summer but INEOS decide to stick with Ten Hag after his FA Cup success.

The German is currently without a club after losing his position at Bayern last season.
