Casemiro ‘in talks’ to make shock Man Utd exit after dismal display against Liverpool

Manchester United star Casemiro is reportedly in talks to leave the club on loan.

Brazilian midfielder Casemiro is currently under the spotlight after his performance against Liverpool last weekend.

The 32-year-old was replaced at half-time by youngster Toby Collyer after making two mistakes which led to both of Luis Diaz’s goals for Liverpool.

Arne Slot’s men eventually won 3-0 at Old Trafford to maintain their perfect start to the 24/25 season.

Meanwhile, United are left licking their wounds and Casemiro has reportedly been linked with a move away from Old Trafford.

According to Futbol Arena, journalist Ali Naci Kucuk wrote: “Galatasaray also wants to strengthen its midfield line. Initiatives continue for McKennie, who plays for Juventus…

“Casemiro is among the players contacted for the midfield line…Galatasaray is in talks with Manchester United to loan Casemiro for 1 year…”

After the match against Liverpool, United boss Erik ten Hag was asked about his decision to take Casemiro off.

He said: “It is what the team needed. You know when you are 2-0 down against Liverpool you have to take more risks, it will be open.

“When you are losing you have to take more risks. I have to give compliments to the team. You have to keep fighting and sticking together.”

The Dutchman added: “You know the game and he knows the game. He will go on and we will go on. He’s a great player. We will continue this season to improve the team and the players.

“He improved and has shown so often that he is a great character. We all have seen great moments from him and him be decisive in midfield. He will show that again and will bounce back.”
