BREAKING: New manager spotted at Man United training ground following latest club’s statement

Zidane, who has only ever managed Real Madrid, led the Spanish giants to two La Liga titles and three Champions League trophies during his two stints at the Santiago Bernabeu. He left the club for the second time in 2021 and was succeeded by Carlo Ancelotti.

The French football icon has since remained out of management despite persistent rumours linking him with the United job and replacing Didier Deschamps as the French national team coach. Zidane, not one to court publicity, was unexpectedly seen at a Real Betis training session recently – an image that quickly spread across social media.

The 52-year-old was spotted watching the session on Wednesday, which marked the first time his son trained with the first team at the Ciudad Deportiva Luis del Sol, according to the Mirror. Elyaz left Real Madrid after 11 years to join Betis, now managed by ex-Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini, earlier this year and was under the watchful eye of his legendary father in sunny Seville.

Despite the fact that Zidane isn’t lining up for a managerial position at the moment, United bigwigs might be tempted to take a look in his direction if Ten Hag doesn’t stabilise the team’s rocky start. The Red Devils kicked off the season with two losses out of three matches, including a devastating 3-0 defeat to Liverpool at Old Trafford.

Adding fuel to the fire, Cristiano Ronaldo has given a sly nod to earlier tensions with the United boss after their well-publicised fallout last year, which led to his second departure from the club. In light of Portugal’s Nations League campaign, the Al-Nassr forward made a veiled remark.
