Paul Scholes reveals huge concern he spotted while watching Liverpool boss Arne Slot on touchline vs Man Utd

Paul Scholes has a huge concern over Trent Alexander-Arnold after seeing what Arne Slot did during the game against Manchester United.

Liverpool won 3-0 to make it three wins from three in the Premier League under their new manager.

It was an impressive performance from the Reds but Scholes noticed a potential issue involving Alexander-Arnold.

Speaking on Stick to Football, brought to you by Sky Bet, Scholes said: “Watching that Sunday game, every time he gave the ball away he [Slot] was shaking his head. I was down there. He kept looking away and turning around to his bench.

“He was trying these long balls, which obviously he can do brilliantly. I thought, ‘I’m not sure if he likes him’.”

Liverpool legend Carragher understood Scholes’ view, feeling as though Slot wants shorter and more simple passes for his team.
