“Out of your mind ” – Manchester United transfer claim laughed off, insistence it was never happening

Manchester United’s Christian Eriksen waited until the start of this month to make his first appearance of the season. The midfielder came off the bench in the defeat to Liverpool. Since then, he’s made two starts for the Red Devils.

The Denmark international has less than a year left on his contract. Anderlecht showed interest in the 32-year-old in the summer window.

Earlier this week, Anderlecht director Jesper Fredberg admitted they weren’t able to take the player away from Manchester United.

Former Stoke City and Standard Liège manager Johan Boskamp is an analyst for Het Belang van Limburg.

Earlier this week, the Jupiler Pro League side showed the exit door to manager Brian Riemer. They won three of their last seven matches and Boskamp has shared his views on Anderlecht’s decision to sack the Dane.

The 75-year-old Dutchman is of the belief Fredberg also needs to be held accountable for his side’s mixed start to the season. He has used Anderlecht’s failed attempt to sign the Manchester United player as an example to criticise the director.
