“Benching him was the biggest mistake I’ve made in my professional career, even after coming in a a substitute he gave us what no other players was able to provide… He’ll be starting regularly from now onward”: Erik ten Hag regrets benching ONE Man United’s star against Crystal Palace yesterday

Aside from his double save, Onana made another two saves in the game. He had 50 touches with a passing accuracy of 83 percent.

Speaking after the stalemate, Ten Hag said that Onana is ‘so explosive’ and he made an ‘unbelievable’ save to secure a point for United.

He said while speaking on BBC Match of the Day: “Unbelievable save, Andre is so explosive. He’s such a great stopper. It’s twice in one action.

“We all see now how good he is. His reactions are so good, he’s so quick and we saw that with the save in the second half.”

United have dropped into the bottom half of the league table after their goalless draw in south London.

They are currently 11th in the standings with seven points, three adrift of the Champions League spots.
