Marcus Rashford then set up Rasmus Hojlund for United’s second in the 20th minute before the Red Devils suffered a defensive collapse in the first half.
Pepe pulled one back for Porto only seven minutes after Rasmus Hojlund’s strike before Samu Omorodion produced an equaliser for his side in the 34th minute.
Samu Omorodion then completed his brace only five minutes into the second half, with United later reduced to 10 men after Bruno Fernandes was sent off.
United rescued a point against Porto after Harry Maguire came off the bench in the second half and headed home a crucial equaliser in the second half of injury time.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Rio Ferdinand admitted that one of the “positives” for United was how they played in the opening 20 minutes against Porto.
The 45-year-old United legend also welcomed the display from Marcus Rashford and enjoyed how the Red Devils attacker was “being direct” with his style of play.
However, Ferdinand admitted that he was baffled with Erik ten Hag’s decision to withdraw the 26-year-old United forward for the second half of the match.
“I think we should start with positives first,” he said.
“I thought the first 20 minutes we looked good, man. I thought it was a good performance. I thought with the ball especially.
“I thought Rashford, I think he was direct. I think his goal was… that was Rashford, that was the Rashford I know and you want to see regular.
“Running at people, looked like he was being direct, looked like there was a little bit of confidence that come back. Even his celebration was a bit like, ‘Yeahhhh.’ That’s what I like to see, man.
“But then he’s brought off. I can’t lie, I just think he gets a goal, it’s like before, he scored a couple of goals, then the manager takes him out.
“Then he scores here, building a bit of confidence, yes, I think he could have done better for the Porto second goal, but one of your goalscorers is scoring again. Do you know what I mean?
“He’s in a nice vein of form, building a bit of confidence, building a bit of momentum.”
