Sir Alex Ferguson leaves Old Trafford after attending Manchester United meeting with Ineos

Sir Alex Ferguson has left Old Trafford after attending a meeting with key members of the Manchester United leadership team on Monday.

Co-owners Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Joel Glazers were at Old Trafford for a series of meetings the day after United’s winless run extended to five games with a draw at Aston Villa. Chief executive Omar Berrada was also present, as was Ineos head of sport Sir Dave Brailsford.

Berrada, Ferguson and Neville all left Old Trafford via the main entrance late on Monday afternoon. The Ineos delegation had arrived for the meetings on the main forecourt but had their cars moved to the back of the stadium so they could depart away from the glare of fans milling around near the megastore.
