One manager Manchester United looked at was Serie A-winning manager Simone Inzaghi who is currently with Inter Milan. However, as per Sport Italia, the Italian has turned down the chance to make a move to Old Trafford and head the Red Devils project.

Manchester United held talks with Inzaghi with the outlook of him taking over from Ten Hag immediately but things didn’t pan out as they expected. The manager has reaffirmed his commitment to Inter Milan.

Inzaghi is one of the highest-paid managers in the world and makes around £105,000 a week. He has a completely different ideology in football to Erik ten Hag and his teams are usually built on a strong defence with clinical counter-attacking.
