Andre Onana made a fabulous double save to protect United’s lead shortly before half-time but he couldn’t stop Youssef En-Nesyri’s header that drew Fenerbahce level early in the second half.
Neither side found a winner as the game ended 1-1. United have now drawn all three of their Europa League games this season.
Here are how the players rated at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium.
Andre Onana
Pulled off a magnificent double save to deny Youssef En-Nesyri an equaliser from one of two headers. No chance for Youssef En-Nesyri’s headed goal. 7
Diogo Dalot
Had a better time of it against Allan Saint-Maximin than he did during his Newcastle days for one half but stood off him for the equaliser. 6
Matthijs de Ligt
Could not get a grip of the back four alongside his third different starting partner of the season and that was apparent when En-Nesyri scored in between Victor Lindelof and Lisandro Martinez. 6
Victor Lindelof
Made one important block but was jittery on his first United start since March and En-Nesyri got between him and Martinez to equalise. 5
Lisandro Martinez
Captained the side and stayed at left back. Had an iffy start against right back Bright Osayi-Samuel and could not prevent En-Nesyri. 6
Manuel Ugarte
After a dreadful first ten minutes he showed why United signed him, instigating the counter-attack they scored from and denying Dusan Tadic an equaliser. His best performance for United. 7
Marcus Rashford
Went so close to a second goal in as many Europa League games in the first half. Had a good opening in the second half but Dalot’s pass was awry. 6
Christian Eriksen
His remarkable form continued with a fourth goal of the season on 15 minutes. Showed understandable signs of fatigue amid United’s midfield shortage
