Jose Mourinho delivers box-office post-match interview after being sent off vs Man Utd, it’s a must-watch

Jose Mourinho was his usual self against former club Manchester United in the Europa League clash on Thursday night.

Mourinho’s Fenerbahce side claimed a 1-1 draw in Istanbul, with Youssef En-Nesyri’s header cancelled out a strike from Christian Eriksen 15 minutes in.

Mourinho was animated when Andre Onana produced a stunning double save and ended up getting sent off and forced to watch the remaining period of the game from the stands following his protests over a penalty decision not being given.


Bright Osayi-Samuel went down under the challenge of Manuel Ugarte but French referee Clement Turpin was unmoved.


Mourinho is reported to have fumed at the referee down the tunnel at the end of the game and then produced a priceless four-minute post-match interview with Danny Jamieson of TNT Sports afterwards.

He might have said he “didn’t want to speak” about the decision at first but Mourinho quickly provided gold in the chat, sarcastically praising the referee for being able to see the penalty incident and his behaviour at the same time.
