‘Do better’: Paul Scholes not happy with one Manchester United player against Chelsea today

Ruud van Nistelrooy is doing his level best to get the team ticking and as you’d expect, the Dutchman is looking to impact the forward players.

Of course, United scored five against Leicester in Van Nistelrooy’s first game in charge but against Chelsea, the chances and goals flowed less freely.

Naturally, the biggest chance of the opening 45 minutes fell to the man United would want it to, Marcus Rashford.

However, Rashford blazed his effort onto the crossbar and over when in acres of space. And according to Paul Scholes, Rashford was effectively trying to show off a bit.

Commenting on the chance for Rashford for Premier League Productions, United legend Scholes was quick to criticise the England forward, admitting it was a far simpler chance than he made it look.

“I expect him to do better. I think he is trying to make the goal look better by going high into the roof of the net. It is quite a simple side-foot volley from seven yards.
