Ruud van Nistelrooy will be hoping to keep his unbeaten run as Manchester United interim manager in tact with a Europa League clash at home to Greek side Paok up next. The Reds are yet to win a clash in Europe this season with Erik ten Hag overseeing three score draws.
Over the weekend, United picked up a point against Chelsea in a largely dull encounter at Old Trafford. Marcus Rashford had the best chance of the first half when he hit the post before Bruno Fernandes scored from the penalty spot after the interval only for a Moises Caicedo stunner to level the game minutes later.
United have been rather fortunate in recent weeks regarding injuries with no major fresh concerns emerging. Positive news looks set to continue likely over the November international break with a number of stars, including Leny Yoro, targeting returns just as Ruben Amorim arrives as the club’s new head coach.
With that said, MEN Sport has rounded up the latest United injury news and possible return dates before United’s next game on Thursday evening.
Leny Yoro
Injury: Fractured metatarsal
United issued an update on Yoro last month, confirming he had started training outside at Carrington. He has been unavailable since fracturing his metatarsal in the opening game of United’s pre-season tour of the United States in July.
United anticipated he would be sidelined for around three months after undergoing surgery at the start of August. He was walking without crutches as soon as early-September and has been working hard in the gym at Carrington since. He will not be rushed and his competitive debut for the club is ‘not imminent’.
