(4-3-2-1) vs (3-4-3) difference in Ten Hag lineup and Amorim line up – As Ruben Amorim welcome all the injured players back for tough battle ahead

Ahead of his first Premier League clash against Kieran McKenna’s Ipswich Town, four players could make their return.

Leny Yoro

Since Manchester United signed Leny Yoro from LOSC Lille this summer, the exciting French teenager has yet to feature in a competitive match for the Red Devils.

Amorim was pictured with Yoro on his first day at Carrington and the French teenager has been back in first team training for United and could be set to feature against Ipswich.

Yoro suffered a metartarsal problem in the summer’s pre-season friendly defeat to Arsenal but could make his long-awaited return after the international break.

Chances of return against Ipswich Town: 8/10
Yoro has been in first-team training for the last couple of weeks and will hope to be involved from the start against the East-Anglian side at Portman Road.

However, with minimal minutes in the legs for the 19-year-old this season, a substitute cameo seems the more likely option but he should be involved.

Luke Shaw

This season has been one of frustration for English left-back Luke Shaw as he has still yet to make a first team appearance for the Red Devils during the current campaign.

In his final press conference as United manager, Erik ten Hag revealed that Shaw had suffered a setback in his recovery but has since returned to the Red Devils first-team.

Shaw has been out for United since February but made an appearance at the 2024 European Championship final for England against Spain.

Chances of return against Ipswich Town: 5/10
Shaw has an uncertain future under Amorim and if he can’t very quickly prove his fitness to the Portuguese manager, he could well find himself on the periphery of the team.

As mentioned, the former Southampton left-back has not featured for United since February and it seems unlikely he’ll be thrown straight into the deep end against Ipswich.

Kobbie Mainoo

During the dark days of Erik Ten Hag’s ill-fated reign at Old Trafford, Kobbie Mainoo was one of the only bright spots for the Red Devils.

The teenage midfielder looked like a seasoned professional during the 2023/24 campaign but this season hasn’t quite been the same for him.

Mainoo suffered an injury problem last month but is set to return for the Red Devils against Ipswich and potentially displace Casemiro in the United midfield.

Chances of return against Ipswich Town: 9/10
The English midfielder, unlike the other names on this list, has featured in the Premier League during the current campaign so he will have match sharpness.

However, the risk with Mainoo will be whether the Portuguese head coach wants to rush the United academy graduate back to the first team.
