One ‘unhappy’ Manchester United player has reportedly asked his entourage to find him a new club after a tough spell at Old Trafford.
Last week, former Sporting Clube de Portugal boss Ruben Amorim officially began his tenure as United boss after replacing Erik ten Hag.
The 39-year-old was chosen as the club’s new head coach after a dismal start to the 24/25 season led to the dismissal of Dutchman Ten Hag.
Ahead of his first match in charge this weekend, Amorim has been working with players who were not selected by their country for the latest international break.
With the January transfer window on the horizon, it has been claimed that one United star is unhappy at the club and wants to make a move away.
As reported by La Stampa, via Calcio Mercato, Dutch striker Joshua Zirkzee, who only joined United from Italian Seria A side Bologna this summer, is feeling unhappy at the club.
It has been suggested that the 23-year-old is considering a move away from United and his agents have been instructed to look for a new club.
The report added that Italian giants Juventus could be a possible destination with manager Thiago Motta said to be a fan of Zirkzee.
In addition, any deal that happens will likely be a loan deal, with Zirkzee open to the idea of leaving United on a temporary basis.
Zirkzee has struggled to find form after scoring on his Premier League debut against Fulham. So far in the 24/25 campaign, the Dutchman has only managed one goal and two assists in 17 appearances across all competitions.
During his first interview with the club, Amorim explained what he wants the fans to see in his first match in charge, which is going to be against Ipswich Town on Sunday.
Amorim said: “I think you will see an idea. You could like it or not, I don’t know, but you will see an idea.
“You will see a positioning. You will see something that we want to reach that kind of level. You will feel that.”
