Unseen footage of Ruben Amorim’s immediate demand to Man Utd players after Ipswich draw emerges

Unseen footage of Ruben Amorim following Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town has emerged online, and it reveals a lot about the United manager.

Following a two week break for the conclusion of the Nations League, the Premier League returned on Saturday for the first gameweek in a busy festive period.

On Sunday, all eyes turned to the Portman Road Stadium as Ipswich Town welcomed Amorim to England for his first game as United manager.

And following the match, which ended as a 1-1 draw, some new footage showing the Portuguese manager’s first demand of his players has emerged online.

In the clip, captured by a fan attending the game, shows Amorim gathering his players together to make them go over and thank the away fans that had travelled to Ipswich to support them.

United’s players are then seen walking over to the away end and applauding the fans while they showed their approval of the new manager by chanting his name.

Reacting to the clip, one fan wrote: “This is similar to what Klopp did when he first came to Liverpool, took a disorganised team and got them connecting with the fans. Bought back their togetherness and trust.

Glad to see some smart moves from the gaffer.”

Another agreed, adding: “Connecting with the fans and understanding what the badge means is a start. Good for him.”

Despite losing the 1-0 lead gained through an early goal from Marcus Rashford, Amorim spoke after the match about how he was impressed by his side’s performance in their first match under his supervision.
