Jamie Carragher sends brutal clear-cut verdict over Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos’ Man Utd run so far at Old Trafford

Jamie Carragher has pulled no punches towards Sir Jim Ratcliffe after the Ineos chief’s “really poor” start at Old Trafford as Manchester United co-owner.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe became co-owner of Manchester United in 2023 after the 72-year-old British billionaire captured a minority stake in the Premier League club.

Ineos took control of football operations at Old Trafford after the minority stake purchase and Ratcliffe has made sweeping changes at the Red Devils.

However, Ratcliffe has faced scathing criticism during his run at United, including axing Sir Alex Ferguson from his ambassadorial contract at the end of the season.

Ineos have also caused controversy over matchday ticket prices and Red Devils supporters staged a protest ahead of the 4-0 win against Everton at Old Trafford.
