Pedro’s versatility would suit the Red Devils
The 23-year-old joined the Seagulls from Watford in 2023 and had a good debut season, scoring 20 goals.
Pedro has struggled with injuries this season, but he has still impressed with four goals and three assists in the league.
His versatility in the final third could be a reason behind United’s interest. Amorim could see Pedro as an inverted forward or a striker in his 3-4-2-1 formation.
United could find it hard to sign him from Brighton. Pedro will have three more years left on his contract next summer. The Seagulls are in a strong position to negotiate.
He is valued at £42 million by Transfermarkt, but knowing Brighton’s tough negotiation skills, United could be asked to pay £70m to sign the forward.
United are aiming to spend with more caution under INEOS, and he is unlikely to make the switch to Old Trafford next summer.
