Pep Guardiola makes damning admission about himself following Manchester derby collapse

Pep Guardiola gave a damning assessment of himself as Manchester City manager following his side’s 2-1 defeat to Manchester United.

City conceded goals on 88 and 90 minutes to the visitors at Old Trafford, with errors from Matheus Nunes and Ederson costing them dearly.

Bruno Fernandes scored from the penalty spot after Amad Diallo was brought down by Nunes, before Amad himself received a lofted pass from Lisandro Martinez, lifted the ball over Ederson and scored from a tight angle.

City now have the lowest points per game of any Premier League club since the beginning of November – and Guardiola has made an unprecedented assessment of his own managerial ability this season.

Speaking in his post-match press conference after the defeat to City’s fierce rivals, Guardiola admitted: “All I have to do is keep working. I’m the boss, I’m the manager and I’m not good enough. It’s as simple as that.
