Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has given his honest take on Marcus Rashford’s situation – and he did not hold back.
Rashford, 27, alongside Alejandro Garnacho, 20, was left out of United’s 20-man matchday squad for the 2-1 win against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Ahead of the game, Amorim explained how the decision was based on “selection” and added how he evaluates “everything”, mentioning “engagement with teammates” as a potential reason for the pairs’ omission from the squad.
“For me, personally, I think I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps,” Rashford told Winter.
“When I leave, it’s going to be ‘no hard feelings’. You’re not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That’s me as a person.
