Ruben Amorim breaks silence on bombshell Marcus Rashford exit interview as Man Utd boss makes his feelings clear

Ruben Amorim has spoken out on Marcus Rashford’s future after the Manchester United star admitted he is ‘ready for a new challenge’.

Rashford was dropped from Amorim’s squad for Sunday’s derby clash against Manchester City, which Man United won 2-1.

Speaking after the game, Amorim revealed the ‘real reason’ behind his selection decision, confirming there no disciplinary issues behind his call.

He has since delivered a bombshell interview, revealing he is ‘ready for a new challenge’ amid reports claiming the club would be open to offers for their academy graduate.

Speaking in his press conference ahead of Man United’s Carabao Cup clash against Tottenham on Thursday, Amorim suggests he’d be happy to keep Rashford at Old Trafford.

“We are better with Marcus Rashford, that is simple and we will try different things to push Marcus to the best levels he showed in the past,” he said. “This kind of club needs big talent and he’s a big talent, so he just needs to perform at the highest level… I just want to help Marcus.”

On Rashford claiming he needs a new challenge, Amorim added: “He is right. We have here a new challenge, the biggest in football, we are in a difficult situation. I hope all my players are ready.”
