Alejandro Garnacho has named the two Man Utd players who he’s closest to in the current squad

Alejandro Garnacho has revealed who his ‘closest friends’ in the Manchester United squad are.

Garnacho, 20, alongside Marcus Rashford, 27, was left out of United’s 20-man matchday squad for the 2-1 Manchester derby victory over Manchester City last Sunday.

Ahead of the game, Amorim explained the reasons behind his decision.

Garnacho was re-introduced to United’s squad for the 4-3 Carabao Cup quarter-final defeat against Tottenham on Thursday evening and replaced Manuel Ugarte for the final 20 minutes in north London.

Amorim explained how he was pleased with the player’s response to the setback this week.

“Really good,” he said on Wednesday when speaking in a press conference.
