David Ornstein has dropped a new update on Marcus Rashford’s Manchester United future as the journalist has hinted at his next career move.
Rashford has been excluded from Ruben Amorim’s last three match-day squads.
His future has been the subject of intense transfer speculation, with the 27-year-old admitting he’s ‘ready for a new challenge’.
But Ornstein has suggested a loan deal might be a more ‘sensible’ idea considering the player is not currently playing and earns an extremely high wage.
He claims a January sale is hard to ‘envisage’, stating a summer move is more likely to materialise.
A loan transfer would give him the chance to ‘get back on track’ and ‘rebuild his value’ before the issue is revisited next summer.
Ornstein adds that taking Rashford on a temporary basis should avoid whoever gets him having to cover the whole of his salary.
