Ruben Amorim gave what both he and a Sky Sports reporter agreed was his angriest interview as Manchester United manager after claiming a 2-2 draw away at Anfield.
Prior to Sunday’s game, United had lost four games in a row and the dismal defeat at home to Newcastle led to Amorim admitting that his side are in a relegation fight.
But to the surprise of many, they produced an impressive display against Liverpool and took the lead through Lisandro Martinez just after half-time.
Goals from Cody Gakpo and Mo Salah turned it around for the Reds before Amad Diallo levelled matters in the 80th minute. Harry Maguire had a golden chance to win it late on for United but blazed his effort over the bar.
