Manchester United fans have just realised the reason Amad was shown a yellow card during their 2-2 draw against Liverpool yesterday – and they have been left stunned by the decision.
Amad, 22, put in a fine showing at Anfield, scoring United’s equaliser with just ten minutes of normal time left to play to hand his side a well-earned point.
The Ivorian has gone from strength to strength since Ruben Amorim arrived at the club in November.
Yesterday’s performance was the latest in a string of excellent showings, with his notable contributions coming in big games.
In December, he single-handedly swung the Manchester derby in United’s favour, winning a late penalty, which was converted by Bruno Fernandes before scoring a stoppage-time winner of his own to put United 2-1 up against Manchester United.
