David Ornstein reveals what he’s been ‘told’ about Marcus Rashford as major Man Utd transfer update given

David Ornstein has revealed what he has been ‘told’ about Marcus Rashford as he provided an update on the star’s potential Manchester United transfer.

Ahead of Man United‘s Premier League clash against Liverpool at Anfield, which ended 2-2, Ornstein delivered a major update on Rashford and revealed where his future lies amid intense speculation.

Rashford has been linked with a January move, with the Red Devils ‘offering’ him to four clubs.

Ornstein, however, described a potential Rashford transfer in January as ‘very difficult’, citing his enormous wage.

On NBC Sports, he explained: “In January it’s going to be very difficult. He signed a massive contract in 2023 that goes on to 2028. He earns in excess of £325,000 a week. Who is going to be prepared to take that on?”

The journalist also dismissed reports suggesting Saudi Arabia have tabled offers for Rashford, saying: “I’m told that reports of offers being turned down from Saudi Arabia are not really accurate. Saudi have pushed back on that and said there are no offers.”

And he labelled a potential swap deal with Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, who’s on loan at Galatasaray, as ‘very complicated, if at all possible’, effectively shutting down that transfer suggestion.

“There have been reports of a swap deal with Victor Osimhen if he was brought back to Napoli from Galatasaray, but I think that’s going to be very complicated, if at all possible,” he added.
