Darwin Nunez’s time at Liverpool has hardly taken off since his transfer from Benfica and it makes absolutely no sense for Man Utd to go from Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee to the Uruguayan number nine. One must also add here that he is valued at around £85million, and he is not worth the fee having netted only 2 goals in 15 PL games this term. There is also interest from Saudi in Darwin Nunez and this could just be an effort from his agents to drum up interest in their player.Man Utd do need a striker who can score goals regularly, which they have lacked to do so far this season. However, Darwin Nunez is anything but that. He is as inconsistent as they come and although he might have the potential to become an elite striker at some point in his career, currently, he is not even close to that level.
