5 chances created, 88% pass accuracy: Man Utd loanee sends message to Ten Hag with fantastic display

Jadon Sancho, a Manchester United loanee, put on a strong display as Borussia Dortmund defeated Darmstadt 4-0 in the Bundesliga season finale.

The England international returned to Dortmund on loan at the start of the season, and under manager Edin Terzic, he has been a consistent starter ever since. In the match on Saturday against Darmstadt, Sancho started on the right wing.

He completed 88% of his passes, setting up Julian Brandt’s goal in the 72nd minute.

Aside from this, the attacker won three ground duels and completed three take-ons. He created five chances before being substituted in the 73rd minute of the game.

In his 20 games for Dortmund this season, the 24-year-old has contributed six goals, and he will be looking to win the Champions League to cap off a successful year.

Real Madrid, the reigning champions of the championship, will face Dortmund as the early favourites. Sancho wants to restore his reputation by putting on another outstanding show.

When the summer preseason kicks off, the forward will return to United, though it’s unclear if he’ll be able to rejoin the first squad for the upcoming campaign.

His rift with manager Erik ten Hag paved the way for a winter loan exit. If there is no resolution over the matter, the hierarchy are most likely to consider his permanent transfer.

Some of the fans will be hoping that the player and manager can sort out their differences. Sancho could also find himself back in favour if Ten Hag were to be dismissed.
