Midfield enforcer Casemiro has said all of Manchester United’s players are ‘excited’ by the recent appointment of Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford.
The 39-year-old, who was appointed from Sporting Lisbon earlier this month, oversaw his first victory as United head coach on Thursday night, leading his side to a 3-2 win over Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League.After seeing Alejandro Garnacho’s first-minute opener wiped out, United recovered from 2-1 down to clinch their second Europa League win of the campaign.Although United’s performance was by no means perfect, their second half showing offered encouragement that Amorim is beginning to get his ideas across to his players. The Portuguese chief has made it his first mission to give United an identity again.
And according to Casemiro, who was a second half substitute on Thursday evening, United’s players are excited by Amorim’s appointment, insisting they have quickly discovered what the former Sporting Lisbon chief expects of them.
