Dan Ashworth ‘involved in Man Utd boadroom clash’ as main reason for exit surfaces

Manchester United have parted ways with Dan Ashworth following a significant disagreement with the club’s hierarchy, according to reports. A statement released by the club claimed Ashworth, who had only been in the role of sporting director for five months, left United by mutual consent.

However, the decision to part ways with the 53-year-old reportedly came after increasing tension behind the scenes – primarily over the appointment of new boss Ruben Amorim.The report adds that, in addition to tensions with Berrada, Ashworth clashed with other members of the United football executive team, leading the hierarchy to cut their losses on him
