DEAL CONFIRMED: Man United ‘betting heavily’ to sign £152,000 a week attacker after rivals bid is rejected – personal terms is not a problem as player wants Man united move

Olmo, who earns around £152,000 a week, was one of the most in-form players at the recently concluded European Championships where he ended as the joint top-scorer of the tournament despite initially playing second fiddle to Barcelona star Pedri.

Speaking about Barcelona, the Catalan giants are keen on signing Olmo but have seen their €40m plus €20m bid rejected. RB Leipzig are said to be questioning the Spanish club’s commitment to their player, considering they are willing to spend €62m for Nico Williams this summer.

In such a scenario, Man Utd are bidding hard and would do well to add a profile like Olmo to the squad, who is one of the most versatile attackers around.

The flexible Spaniard likes to feature in the No.10 role but he is also comfortable playing from the left side of the attack.

Olmo would offer something different to Marcus Rashford, should Erik ten Hag decide to play him in that role.

All things considered, he would be a good addition to the squad. However, we are still not sure if he is a realistic target, as mentioned yesterday. Only time will tell us how this situation pans out.

In your view, should Man Utd take advantage of the impasse between Barca and Leipzig to hijack the signing of Dani Olmo?
