Alejandro Garnacho takes major action hours before Liverpool vs Man Utd amid Ruben Amorim comments

Manchester United star Alejandro Garnacho has taken a major decision hours before his side’s Premier League fixture at Liverpool.

The Argentinian hasn’t started a game for United since December 7, and was excluded from the matchday squad for the 2-1 win over Manchester City.

Unlike Marcus Rashford – who was also dropped at the Etihad Stadium – Garnacho was restored to the squad, and has come off the bench for each of United’s last four matches in all competitions.

The Daily Mail reported earlier this week that Garnacho was dropped due to a ‘show of dissent’ towards manager Ruben Amorim.

It is claimed that he appeared to turn his back on Amorim and walk away while the United boss was giving him instructions before he came on during the side’s Europa League clash against Viktoria Plzen.

A representative for Garnacho told the Mail that the incident was a ‘misunderstanding’ and that the winger did not intend to be disrespectful.

Amorim subsequently praised the Argentinian for his response to being dropped, telling reporters prior to the 4-3 Carabao Cup defeat to Tottenham on December 18: “Really good. He trained really well. He seems a little bit upset with me, and that is perfect.

“I was really, really happy [with that], because I would do the same. He is ready for the game.”

Now, Garnacho has taken significant action before the derby against Liverpool by appearing to deactivate his Twitter account.

The 20-year-old had over 800,000 followers on the social media platform, and regularly updated it until prior to his exclusion from the squad to face City.

Now, a search of Garnacho’s account returns with a message that the account is ‘no longer available’.
