New angle of Trent Alexander-Arnold error during Liverpool vs Man Utd emerges and it speaks volumes

A new angle of Trent Alexander-Arnold’s error in the build-up to Lisandro Martinez’s opening goal in Liverpool’s 2-2 draw against Manchester United has emerged – and it speaks volumes.

Alexander-Arnold, 26, has been the subject of huge media speculation in recent months after Real Madrid showed interest in the player.

On December 31, the Times’ Paul Joyce reported that Madrid “made contact” with Liverpool, but their interest in the player was “immediately rebuffed” by the Premier League club.

Then, on January 4, the Mirror reported that Liverpool had offered the right-back a new deal to try and tempt him to stay at the club.

The outlet claimed that the Merseyside-based club “offered Trent Alexander-Arnold” a contract worth “£78m” spread over a “five-year” period.

But there has been no official confirmation of this from Alexander-Arnold or Liverpool Football Club. However, this came as an unwelcome distraction the night before the Premier League match against United.

The England international started the match at Anfield but struggled to deal with United’s Diogo Dalot for most of the game. But it was his error on 52 minutes that led to Martinez’s goal.

And new footage of the incident has emerged which you can watch below.
