Man United handed major Viktor Gyokeres transfer boost as new £58.6m ‘agreement’ reached

Manchester United have been informed that they could sign Viktor Gyokeres for a fraction of the price that they thought would be required.

The Sporting striker went from strength to strength after Ruben Amorim picked him up from Coventry City. Incredibly, he has bagged 74 goals in just 79 appearances for the Portuguese club and is averaging better than a goal per game this season.
Considering united struggles in the centre-forward position and Amorim’s close connection with Gyokeres, it appeared only natural that the Reds would be linked with his services. A move in seems to be out of the question presently as many clubs, including United, battle to stay the right side of the Financial restrictions.

Sporting will also be reluctant to sell Gyokeres in the middle of the season when it could massively impact their title push and Champions League-hopes. As such, a switch in the summer is set to be more realistic for all parties.

Now, United have been handed an incentive to wait that long. According to Record goal Gyokeres and Sporting have a gentleman’s agreement to allow the striker to leave the club for as little as between £58.6m and £62.8m.

Such an agreement has been hinted at in the past between Gyokeres and Sporting. Previously, it has been stated that Gyokeres would be allowed a move for less than his £83m release clause should he remain at the club until the end of the season
