Man Utd now want to sign ‘world-class’ star on loan, player open to move – report

Manchester United have bolstered their squad with the signings of Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro this summer and there could be more transfer activity in the coming weeks.

A defensive midfielder is one of the priorities for the club and Corriere dello Sport claim that the Red Devils could make a fresh proposal to sign Amrabat from Fiorentina.

Amrabat spent last season on loan at United with an option to buy for £17 million. The club opted against triggering the clause.

They are now aiming for another temporary move and don’t intend to pay the asking price for a permanent transfer.

Fiorentina currently value Amrabat at £12.6m. Fenerbahce have made an opening offer worth £8.4m, but they will need to spend much more to convince the Serie A outfit.

Amrabat could return to United this summer

The Red Devils have identified Manuel Ugarte as an option to reinforce the defensive midfield department, but they are yet to meet Paris Saint-Germain’s £59m price tag.

The Uruguayan would be a fine acquisition for the role. He is strong with the ball at his feet and had an impressive passing accuracy of more than 91 percent in Ligue 1 last season.
