Malacia missed the entirety of last season due to a serious knee injury which required two separate operations, and the Dutchman is still not ready to return, but he was able to take part in the warm-up part of the club’s training session on Friday.

Luke Shaw

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: September 25 (vs. Twente)

Shaw has been absent early in the season due to a calf problem, but the club’s left-back has a slight chance of being back in the squad for the European fixture at Old Trafford.

Victor Lindelof

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Toe
Possible return date: September 25 (vs. Twente)

Lindelof is yet to feature this season due to a toe problem, but the Sweden international has a chance of being back in the squad for this match, as he returned to training last week.
