What Sky insider just heard about crunch Man Utd meeting this evening amid Ten Hag sack question

The Manchester United faithful find themselves in that all too familiar position where they know the impending sacking of a manager is on the horizon – it’s just a case of when the executives decide that enough is enough.

It was thought that heading into the side’s last two fixtures against FC Porto and Aston Villa, two losses would see him instantly axed, therefore giving key figures enough time over the international break to speak with his potential successor, as well as get an interim at the reins – presumably assistant coach Ruud van Nistelrooy.

Yet, two draws may have just given the Dutchman some breathing space. He has since jetted off on holiday until club action resumes on October 19 and is confident that, after meeting with club officials, he will remain in the dugout when Premier League action returns.
