Jose Mourinho’s reaction to Fenerbahce scoring against Man Utd has got fans talking

Jose Mourinho’s reaction to Fenerbahce equalising against Manchester United has got fans talking online.

Mourinho took charge of the Turkish side against his former club United in a Europa League clash which ended all square on Thursday.

United went 1-0 up through Christian Eriksen’s fine strike in the 15th minute but had to hold on at the end of the first half after Andre Onana produced an insane double save to deny Youssef En-Nesyri.

Mourinho produced a priceless reaction, placing his hands on his head in absolute disbelief at how the ball didn’t go in.

But minutes after half-time En-Nesyri did level matters, finding himself free in the area from an Allan Saint-Maximin and powering a header past Onana and prompting the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium to erupt with a deafening noise.

Mourinho has conjured up many memorable celebrations over the years but he kept it muted for this one. On TNT Sports’ footage, Mourinho was low-key and kept his hands in his pockets as he looked at the floor.

He did then proceed to hug a nearby ball boy

Reacting to the lack of celebration from the Portuguese, one fan wrote: “Mourinho didn’t celebrate after the equalizer… respect.”

A second said: “Special one he’s used to it and paying respect to Man U.”

However a third explained: “They score a 90th minute winner and he will [celebrate].”

Another agreed: “Lol if they win HE WILL CELEBRATE.”

In typical Mourinho fashion though, he ended the game in the stands after being sent off for his protestsover a penalty decision which didn’t go his team’s way.

The ex Chelsea boss had to write messages on a piece of paper to communicate with his coaching staff and stormed down the tunnel at full-time.

Prior to the game, Mourinho had talked about his time in charge of United and stated that he still has love for the club,” he told TNT Sports.

“I always believe that with more support, with more time, with more internal feeling about the moment and with more support from the media, I would be there serving a third and fourth season, and we would reach more.

“But that was the decision. I move forward. The club also moved forward. The club won something after that, a couple of cups. I also won something after that.
