Man United are set to take on Chelsea in the Premier League at Old Trafford as they look to ride the new manager bounce under Ruud van Nistelrooy.
The legendary striker made an excellent start midweek against Leicester City, where his team beat Leicester City 5-2.
The Red Devils have recently appointed Sporting CP manager Ruben Amorim as their new coach and the young tactician is set to take over at Manchester United during the international break. He will be looking to instil his own ideas at the club.
However, for the next few games, Ruud van Nistelrooy will continue in his capacity as the interim manager. He will be hoping that his side can put in a strong performance against Chelsea to turn the narrative surrounding them.
All things considered, here is how we think Ruud van Nistelrooy can set Man United up against Chelsea at Old Trafford.
Andre Onana is expected to return in between the goalposts, replacing Altay Bayindir. Noussair Mazraoui is expected to start at right-back with Diogo Dalot shifting over to the left. Matthijs de Ligt and Lisandro Martinez are likely to be the centre-back pairing on the night.
Casemiro and Christian Eriksen are likely to start as the midfield partnership on the night. Bruno Fernandes, the captain, would start as the number 10, although he might not be playing in such a system for much longer. When it ain’t broke, why fix it?
Marcus Rashford is expected to start from the left side of the attack with Amad Diallo from the right. Leading the line is likely to be Rasmus Hojlund. This trio will have to finish chances if Man Utd are to have a good game against Chelsea.
The likes of Garnacho, Zirkzee and Manuel Ugarte are likely to get chances off the bench. Let’s wait and see how it plays out.
