Another youngster included in Manchester United travelling squad for Crystal Palace fixture

Toby Collyer, a young player for Manchester United, is part of the traveling team for tonight’s Premier League match at Selhurst Park against Crystal Palace.

The midfielder, who has not yet made his club debut in the first team, was photographed at Manchester Airport before to the team’s flight to London. The 20-year-old Collyer has appeared on the bench four times this season across all competitions.

In order to accommodate for an increasing number of first-team absences, manager Erik ten Hag has been obliged to select more and more young players into the first squad in recent weeks. Due to a muscle issue, Harry Maguire was added to the injury list yesterday and is anticipated to be out of commission for around three weeks.

In his absence, Casemiro could be deployed at centre-back for the fourth game running, but this time alongside Jonny Evans. The latter is in contention to return this evening after missing the last five matches with an injury of his own.

Toby Collyer

Collyer is still waiting to make his senior debut for United. He has made the bench four times this season, including three times in the Premier League. He was last included in the matchday squad on March 9 when United beat Everton 2-0 at Old Trafford.

Jonny Evans

Evans has missed United’s last five matches through injury, last featuring against Chelsea on April 4. With Maguire now sidelined, his expected availability is a much-needed boost for the Reds.

Andre Onana

Onana has started every Premier League game for United this season, not missing a single minute. He will, however, be determined to record his first clean sheet in almost two months this evening.

Sofyan Amrabat

Should Casemiro be tasked with starting at centre-back again this evening, Amrabat will be hoping to come into the team and earn a rare start. He has not started a Premier League fixture in 2024.
