Antony and Diogo Dalot drop Man United Team News hint as Erik ten Hag makes ‘best’ Arsenal claim

Early team news indications have been revealed by Antony and Diogo Dalot ahead of Manchester United’s match against Arsenal. On Sunday afternoon, Erik ten Hag will welcome the Gunners to Old Trafford with the knowledge that a victory may significantly increase Manchester City’s prospects of winning the league.

The Red Devils, who suffered a humiliating 4-0 loss to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Monday night, will be eager to get back on track. Manchester United has dropped to seventh place in the Premier League after Brighton held Newcastle to a draw and Chelsea defeated Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Ten Hag’s team has lagged behind in the competition for European football, even though they are aware that victory over Arsenal would move their opponents one step closer to an unprecedented four-peat. A victory over the North Londoners might be crucial for Manchester United, who are now three points behind both the Blues and the Magpies.

Nevertheless, Dalot and Antony have shared visual pre-match previews of the contest on their individual Instagram stories. This indicates that the two will be involved in some way historically.

In a similar vein, Sofyan Amrabat has hinted that he might play this weekend at Old Trafford. Ten Hag made the suggestion that Arsenal might be the greatest team in the league while speaking with reporters prior to the match.

“We know they are one of the best teams or probably the best team,” said the Dutchman, as quoted by the official club website. “You can discuss about this. Is City the best team or is Arsenal at this moment the best team? Very ball secure, so very good structures and we know we have to play absolutely to our maximum levels to get a result. But we are capable of it.”

Ten Hag added: “We always go in a game to win and not preparing for next game. Of course it [the cup final] is at the back of my mind but we want to put out a team that is competitive for Sunday and a team that is eager to win and produce the best team for Sunday to win that game.”

With that being said, Ten Hag will be relying on the likes of Dalot to step up and keep Arsenal at bay. While a few players have posted pre-match previews of the game to their Instagram stories, it does not necessarily mean they will definitely start.
