BREAKING- Manchester United ‘reach agreement’ for Mason Greenwood transfer

Marseille have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Manchester United winger Mason Greenwood.

According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, a bid of £26.7m has been accepted by the Reds for the forward. This deal will consist of £23.3m fixed as well as £3.4m worth of add-ons.

United have also negotiated a ‘large’ sell-on fee in the contract. MEN Sport reported last week United had received bids from the Ligue 1 club and Lazio for Greenwood.

The Serie A club appeared to pull out of the race soon afterwards with their president Claudio Lotito claiming that another player was being lined up instead of Greenwood who is ‘ten times better’ than the Englishman. United have been in advanced talks with Marseille and Greenwood appeared at Carrington for a brief meeting with the Reds’ chiefs on Monday.
