DONE DEAL – Manchester United sign £70million “great” star

After resolving the future of Erik ten Hag, Manchester United are now ready to hold on to skipper, Bruno Fernandes, as well.

Earlier this month, The Guardian revealed that the Portuguese international could be offloaded for £70million as he wants a bumper pay rise at Old Trafford.

However, now, Man Utd are ready to initiate talks to agree a new deal and match the ambitions to ensure Fernandes stays at the club.

According to Football Insider, after the conclusion of Euro 2024, the Red Devils will open talks to sign a new contract with their captain.

The news source have mentioned that the Seleccao playmaker is happy at United. Ten Hag considers Bruno a “great” captain and will push to keep him at the club now that the Dutch manager is not going anywhere.

Fernandes was the best player for Man Utd last season and after a dismal campaign, we cannot afford to lose our most important star.

In all competitions, the 29-year-old attacking midfielder scored 15 goals and provided 13 assists for the record English champions.

He deservedly won the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award, for the third time. Only Cristiano Ronaldo and David De Gea have won the prize on more occasions.

The former Sporting CP star is a key member of the Portugal national squad and is expected to start for the 2016 champions against Czechia next week.

In your opinion, should Man Utd agree lucrative new terms with Bruno Fernandes?
